This was a mixed-use development on a 17-acre site in Arlington County, Virginia (Washington D.C. suburb). This 887,000 SF project includes 225,000 SF of retail and office space, 300 high-end rental apartments and parking for 1,100 cars in a combination of underground and above-ground structures. Three dominant structures that consist of (1) five-story parking garage with 7 stories of apartments above, (2) two-stories of retail space with 5 stories of apartments above and (3) one-story of retail space with 4 stories of apartments above. Construction types include post-tensioned concrete, conventional concrete, structural concrete, structural steel, and light gauge steel framing.
